This Privacy Policy explains what information WinSolveTech ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit winsolvetech.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Newsletter or membership sign up: if you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name.
  • Messages: if you email us, we receive your email address, your name if shown, and whatever you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, certain technical information is collected by our hosting systems and analytics tools. This can include your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, screen size, language setting, the pages you view, the page that referred you, the date and time of your visit, and general location derived from your IP address (such as country or city).

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • operate, secure, and maintain the Site;
  • understand which pages are useful and improve our content and design;
  • send newsletters and site updates to people who subscribed;
  • reply to messages and requests;
  • detect and prevent abuse, spam, and security problems;
  • meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential functions, such as keeping you signed in if you are a member and protecting the Site from abuse.
  • Analytics, to measure how the Site is used.
  • Preferences, such as remembering certain settings.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect parts of the Site, such as signing in.

4. Analytics and measurement tools

We use the following services to understand how visitors use the Site:

  • Google Tag Manager, which loads measurement tags on our pages, and Google Analytics, which reports on traffic and usage. These tools may set cookies and collect data such as your IP address, device information, and pages visited. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt out Browser Add on.
  • Microsoft Clarity, a behavior analytics tool that records how visitors interact with pages, for example clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and may create heatmaps and session replays. Clarity is designed to mask sensitive input. You can read more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

5. Publishing platform and email

The Site runs on Ghost, an open source publishing platform. Ghost stores the information needed to run the Site, including member and subscriber records. Newsletters and system emails are sent through email delivery providers acting on our behalf.

If you subscribe, we will use your email address to send you new content and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting us. After you unsubscribe, we stop sending newsletters, and you can ask us to delete your record entirely.

We do not currently display third party advertising. In the future we may show ads or include affiliate links to products or services. If we do:

  • we will disclose affiliate relationships on the relevant pages;
  • advertising partners, such as Google, may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and we will update this policy to describe them;
  • you will be able to manage personalized advertising through your Google Ads Settings and through the websites of industry opt out programs.

Our articles sometimes link to other websites, such as Microsoft support pages or software downloads. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any site you visit. Embedded content, such as videos, may place cookies from the provider.

9. How we share information

We share information only in these situations:

  • If the Site is sold or transferred, in which case the information may move to the new owner under the same protections.

10. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Messages we receive are kept for as long as needed to respond and keep records. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of each analytics provider.
